Auf ihrer heutigen Pressekonferenz kritisierte die Deutsche Umwelthilfe den Einsatz von Einkaufstüten, die anteilig aus erneuerbaren Rohstoffen bestehen und kompostierbar sind. Diese seien eine Verbrauchertäuschung, so die Umweltorganisation. European Bioplastics sieht dies als nicht zutreffendes Pauschalurteil über die Tragetaschen und die dazugehörige Produktkommunikation an. Nicht berücksichtigt wird ein entscheidender Vorteil kompostierbarer Tragetaschen: die Menge von sauber getrenntem Bioabfall kann deutlich gesteigert werden. |

Bioplastics were among the main attractions at this year‘s interpack trade fair, which took place from 12 to 18 May in Duesseldorf. The bioplastics enterprises represented at the exhibition successfully demonstrated that for a wide spectrum of packaging bioplastics offer solutions that can decisively reduce environmental impact.
